Soldering and welding

Description

A flexible module is a cost effective Flexible Printed Circuit made of a flexible cable with electronic components. Various soldering/welding processes are available for fixing the components onto the cable:

  • Selective soldering system ensures optimum soldering while minimizing the heat stress for the component. It is ideal for conventional Thru Hole Components.
  • Reflow soldering is for soldering SMD components which have been placed by Pick & Place equipment.
  • Resistance welding is the best for safely welding a component with pins to the end of the cable. Welded points are later overmolded or potted in order to secure the weld.
